Pullover or zip-up hoodie – which to choose?

A women's pullover hoodie offers a smoother, more compact silhouette, while a zip-up model wins for convenience and ease of removal. This is the first decision worth making when choosing – the material, length, and details then follow from it.

The pullover model has no zipper or buttons, so the front remains uniform. This allows it to lay better under a jacket and coat, and with a looser cut, it creates a soft, continuous line. This is the choice for days when the hoodie is meant to be the main layer and stays on from morning to evening – at home, on a walk, or while working remotely.

The zip-up version works well where the temperature changes. You can take it off without messing up your hair or removing your glasses, put it on over a T-shirt, and zip it up only halfway.
