Women's sweatshirts at Oh!Zuza are a collection from the Loungewear line, sewn from cotton loop-back and brushed knitted fabric in our own workshop in Łódź. Here you will find hoodies, zip-up stand-up collar sweatshirts, roll-neck sweatshirts, in short and classic versions – in standard sizing up to 4XL. These sweatshirts are designed to look good also outside the home and to last for several seasons of wear.

How many seasons a sweatshirt will last depends on the composition of the fabric. Cotton with a small addition of elastane breathes, holds its shape, and withstands dozens of washing cycles without losing its softness. Sweatshirts with a predominance of polyester are cheaper to produce, but they pill faster and look worn after a few washes – which is why the Oh!Zuza collection is predominantly cotton-based.

The warmth factor in a sweatshirt does not depend solely on grammage – the double-layer nature of the fabric and the finish of the ribbed cuffs at the neck, hem, and sleeves are also important. A tightly woven ribbed cuff retains heat close to the skin and does not stretch in the wash. Sizes XS–4XL – Two Charts, Standard and Double

Our sweatshirts come in two size charts. The standard one includes individual sizes from XS to 4XL, and in this, we sew the cotton Loungewear line – versions with hoods, stand-up collars, zip-up, and roll-neck. The second chart is double, from S/M to 2XL/3XL, and applies to looser-fit models. This provides the best coverage for plus size women's sweatshirts across the entire Oh!Zuza range.

Size is selected based on bust circumference. The chart below comes directly from the store's size guide:

If your bust measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger size for a fitted sweatshirt and the smaller size for a loose one. Cotton knitwear can shrink minimally after the first wash, so for fitted models, it's worth allowing for an extra size in the shoulders and bust.

Washing and Durability – How a Sweatshirt Withstands Subsequent Seasons

A sweatshirt should be washed at 30°C, inside out, on a delicate cycle, and without a tumble dryer. These are four rules that determine whether it looks new after a year or like a worn-out home layer. Cotton knitwear reacts to temperature – washing at 60°C disrupts its structure, shrinks it, and accelerates pilling.

Washing inside out protects the smooth outer surface from rubbing against other clothes in the drum. It is this friction that causes pilling – small balls of fuzz that spoil the appearance of the knitwear. It is also worth washing sweatshirts separately from jeans, towels, and clothes with Velcro, because aggressive materials abrade the top layer.

A tumble dryer is the most common cause of a damaged sweatshirt. High temperatures and mechanical tumbling shorten the brushed fleece, compact it into hard patches, and permanently alter the shape. The sweatshirt should be dried flat on a drying rack, gently stretching it back to its original shape – hanging a wet sweatshirt on a hanger will elongate its bottom and deform the shoulders.

It is advisable to use liquid detergent, not powder – powder is harder to rinse out of dense knitwear and leaves white streaks. Fabric softener should be used sparingly: excess fats reduce cotton's absorbency and promote pilling. Sweatshirts usually do not require ironing; if they do, iron them inside out, at a low temperature, and without steam directly on the brushed fleece.

We control the entire process – from selecting the fabric roll, through cutting and sewing, to packaging. Thanks to this, every seam, cuff, and zipper in a sweatshirt undergoes the same quality control that we apply to premium nightwear.
