How to choose length — maxi, midi, mini

The length of the dress determines how the whole silhouette looks and what shoes the styling suits. In the Oh!Zuza collection, we offer three lengths: maxi to the ankles, midi to mid-calf, and mini ending above the knee. Cuts: fitted, wrap, camisole, ribbed

The cut of a dress determines how it fits at the waist, hips, and neckline. At Oh!Zuza, we offer four main cuts: fitted, wrap, camisole, and ribbed knit, which itself creates a distinct aesthetic. Each has a different purpose and interacts differently with the silhouette.

Wrap dresses feature an overlapping front, a tie at the waist, and a deep V-neckline. This cut works well with the stomach — the vertical line of the overlap visually slims — and suits many body types. Available in midi and maxi versions, in viscose and viscose satin.

Ribbed is a unique, elastic knit fabric — it returns to its shape, beautifully outlines the figure, and creates a vertical line that optically elongates. Which dress cut slims the tummy?

The cut that helps most with the tummy is a dress with an overlapping front — i.e., a wrap style — and a dress with a vertical ribbed line. Both solutions work on the same principle: they draw a vertical axis on the silhouette, which diverts attention from the horizontal line of the tummy. The tie at the waist in a wrap cut also allows you to adjust the waist level yourself — slightly higher or looser, as comfortable.

Another effective solution is a cut with a defined waist and a soft, slightly flared bottom. The material then drapes above the tummy line, not on it. In the Oh!Zuza collection, this effect is achieved with viscose with a small addition of elastane — soft, but stable enough not to "stick" to the silhouette.

Completely straight styles, without a defined waist, also work — provided the fabric is soft and fluid. Stiff, rigid materials emphasize every fold; viscose simply drapes. That's why simple everyday dresses from this collection also look light on a figure with a rounded tummy.

A third cut worth considering is a fitted dress in ribbed knit. The ribbing slims vertically, and the knit returns to shape after every movement, so it doesn't create horizontal creases. This is the answer for women who want a close-fitting style without the feeling of being constricted.

Dresses in large sizes — up to 4XL

We offer dresses in large sizes, with a standard size range up to 4XL — in practice, this means that some models in this category are available from XS up to 4XL, in the same fabric and the same cut. This is not a separate "plus size" line with a distinct design, but the same dress in an extended size scale.

Fashionable large size dresses at Oh!Zuza are based on the same principles as the rest of the collection: soft viscose, ribbed knit with elastane, wrap, fitted, and straight cuts. We do not change the neckline or length "just in case." This ensures that beautiful women's dresses in larger sizes look as they were designed from the beginning — and not like an emergency version.

In models with a looser fit, we use double sizing (S/M, L/XL, 2XL/3XL) — this is a solution for dresses that don't require precise waist fitting. In fitted and wrap cuts, sizing is single, allowing for more accurate measurements. A detailed size chart is provided with each product.

Polish sewing factory in Łódź — what does it mean

Oh!Zuza's Polish-made dresses are created in our own sewing factory in Łódź. This means that design, fitting, fabric selection, and sewing all take place in one location, under one roof. We do not outsource production to factories we don't know, nor do we buy ready-made patterns. Every model goes through the same process: from the first prototype to the batch that hits the store.

For the customer, this means three things. Firstly – repeatable sizing. An M-sized dress from the Echo line has the same dimensions as an M-sized blouse from the same line, because both were made using the same patterns. Secondly – a short path from feedback to correction. If customers report that a neckline is too deep or a sleeve too narrow, the next batch goes into production after correction.

Thirdly – knowledge of the fabric's origin. The viscose, viscose satin, EcoVero, and cotton we use come from suppliers whose composition and certifications we know. This matters in washing and everyday wear – fabric with a stable composition behaves predictably after the twentieth wash.

Washing and durability of viscose dresses

Viscose dresses should be washed gently, at 30°C, without bleaching and without tumble drying. Iron with steam at a low temperature, without dry cleaning. This is a brief instruction worth remembering, as it applies to most models in this category — viscose dominates the composition of maxi, midi, and mini dresses.

Viscose does not tolerate high temperatures and friction well, so washing at 30°C on a delicate cycle is optimal. Low-speed spinning reduces wrinkles. Flat drying on a towel or on a hanger with soft shoulders prevents shoulder deformation — dresses with a long weave can "grow" when dried with clips.

Ribbed knit is more forgiving — it returns to shape thanks to elastane. However, it still benefits most from washing at 30°C and flat drying. Viscose satin, present in some midi and maxi dresses, requires similar caution to matte: low temperature, no aggressive detergents, and ironing on the reverse side.

Dresses cared for in this way can withstand dozens of wash cycles without losing color or softness. This is one of the reasons why we focus on viscose and its derivatives — a fabric that looks the same a year after purchase is practically cheaper than a cheap dress that needs to be replaced after a season.
