The first is matte viscose with added nylon, composed of 85% viscose and 15% nylon — a fabric with a natural, linen-like feel, breathable, slightly stiff, and elegantly structured in the collar and cuffs. The second is satin viscose, made of 100% viscose — with a silky sheen, smooth, cool to the touch, and featuring the characteristic light reflection of satin.

The nylon in the matte fabric speaks to durability, not artificiality. Fifteen percent nylon ensures that the shirt maintains its shape after dozens of washes, doesn't stretch at the shoulders, and quickly returns to its shape after being taken off. Pure viscose doesn't do this, which is why we consciously combine both fibers.

It's worth noting one thing: matte fabric resembles linen but contains no linen. It has a "linen feel" — meaning that in touch and drape, it evokes linen — but its composition is viscose with nylon. This is important if you are specifically looking for linen fabric.

Satin made from high-quality viscose is a more demanding fabric to care for, but in return, it provides an effect that no knitwear can — a sheen, elegant drape, and a subtle rustle with movement. How to Wash Viscose and Satin Shirts to Make Them Last for Years

Wash viscose shirts at 30°C on a delicate cycle, without bleach or a tumble dryer. Satin viscose additionally prefers hand washing or a particularly delicate cycle — also at 30°C. Iron at a low temperature; always iron satin on the reverse side to avoid shiny marks from the iron. Do not dry clean either of these fabrics.

Viscose is a plant-based fiber that temporarily weakens when it comes into contact with water. Therefore, do not wring the shirt tightly after washing, do not hang it wet on a narrow hanger (it will leave marks on the shoulders), and do not dry it directly in the sun or on a radiator. Optimal drying involves laying it flat on a towel or hanging it on a wide, wooden hanger after gently squeezing out excess water.

Satin requires one more step – separation during washing. Do not wash it with clothes that have zippers, Velcro, hooks, or rough finishes, as the delicate surface can easily snag. A laundry bag is the best investment for a satin wardrobe – it costs a few zlotys but extends the life of the shirt by years.

Ironing: matte viscose comes out best slightly damp, satin dry and on the reverse side. Iron the collar first from underneath, then from the top; cuffs in a similar order. Avoid direct contact of the iron with the dark antique gold buttons — they heat up and can lose their patina.
